We are seeking an experienced and strategic Air Logistics Perishables Manager to lead and grow our perishables product within the air freight business. This role is responsible for driving commercial success, operational excellence, and team leadership while ensuring alignment with global strategy.

You will play a key role in shaping the direction of the perishables product, owning profitability, developing customer relationships, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced, international logistics environment.

How you create impact

• Lead the overall growth, profitability, and strategy of the Air Logistics Perishables product within the assigned country/region
• Drive business development initiatives and identify new growth opportunities across markets
• Own and manage the full P&L for the perishables product, ensuring sustainable financial performance
• Make strategic commercial decisions, including pricing, RFQs, and customer acquisition strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy and innovation
• Collaborate closely with global and regional teams to align on corporate strategy and execution
• Lead and support tender processes, including solution design, costing, pricing, and service development
• Ensure operational excellence through efficient processes, cost management, and continuous improvement initiatives 
• Support procurement and carrier management strategies to optimize service delivery
• Lead, coach, and develop the national perishables team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives
• Promote collaboration across business units and international teams to enhance performance and innovation
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and drive alignment with organizational values and roadmap

What we would like you to bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in Air Logistics or related supply chain functions
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams in complex, international environments
• Strong background in perishables logistics and air freight operations
• Proven track record in business development, P&L management, and commercial decision-making
• Expertise in tender management, pricing strategies, and solution design
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. This role may also be eligible for annual performance based incentives and other employer provided perks or allowances. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
