Automotive Accessory Specialist
Cochrane Toyota
Cochrane Toyota | Cochrane, Alberta
About the Role
Are you passionate about vehicles, accessories, and helping customers make their Toyota their own?
Cochrane Toyota is looking for an energetic, sales-driven Automotive Accessory Specialist to grow our Toyota Genuine Accessories business while supporting day-to-day operations in our Parts Department.
We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with customers, identifying sales opportunities, and turning conversations into results. Working closely with our Sales, Parts, and Service Departments, you'll introduce customers to accessories that enhance their vehicles and fit their lifestyles. From running boards and tonneau covers to roof racks, cargo solutions, and protection packages, you'll help customers discover the accessories that make their Toyota even better. While accessory sales and development will be your primary focus, you'll also assist with Parts Counter operations as required, supporting technicians, retail customers, and the broader Parts team.
What Sets Cochrane Toyota Apart?
At Cochrane Toyota, we believe the customer experience doesn't end when someone purchases a vehicle.
We're committed to creating a seamless ownership experience while continuously finding ways to grow our business.
You'll join a collaborative team where your ideas, initiative, and results can make a measurable difference.
What You'll Be Doing
Accessory Sales & Business Development
Meet with customers purchasing new and used Toyota vehicles to introduce available accessories and personalization options.
Work directly with our Sales team to ensure customers are introduced to the Parts Department before completing their vehicle purchase.
Assist customers with building accessory packages based on their vehicle, lifestyle, and budget.
Develop accessory quotes, present options, overcome objections, and confidently ask for the sale.
Follow up with factory-order customers approximately 30–45 days before their vehicle arrives to review accessory opportunities and finalize selections.
Proactively contact customers who did not purchase accessories during their original vehicle purchase.
Build strong relationships with Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, Service Advisors, and the Parts team to generate new accessory opportunities.
Coordinate accessory orders, parts availability, and installation scheduling with the appropriate departments.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales opportunities, and follow-up activities.
Stay current on Toyota Genuine Accessories, new vehicle models, and available accessory packages.
Identify opportunities to increase accessory sales through vehicle displays, promotions, and customer engagement.
Take ownership of individual sales performance and contribute to departmental sales and profitability targets.
Parts Counter Support
Assist with daily Parts Counter operations as required to support departmental workload and customer needs.
Help retail customers and Service technicians identify, source, and purchase automotive parts and accessories.
Use electronic parts catalogues and dealership systems to verify part numbers, pricing, and availability.
Assist with parts estimates, special orders, and customer inquiries.
Support inventory organization, parts receiving, and order follow-ups when needed.
Work collaboratively with the Parts team to maintain efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
What You'll Bring
1–3 years of experience in automotive sales, accessory sales, retail sales, or a similar customer-focused sales position preferred.
Automotive dealership or parts counter experience would be a strong asset.
A genuine interest in vehicles, automotive accessories, and vehicle personalization.
A strong sales mindset with confidence approaching customers, presenting products, and asking for the sale.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organization and follow-up habits.
The ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
A positive, outgoing personality and a customer-focused approach.
Willingness to learn automotive parts identification, electronic catalogues, and dealership systems.
The flexibility to balance accessory sales responsibilities with Parts Counter support as required.
A desire to achieve measurable sales targets and continuously improve performance.
Toyota or Lexus experience is an asset but not required.
Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes Saturdays.
A valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence.
What We'll Bring
Competitive compensation with opportunities to earn based on sales performance.
Comprehensive health and dental benefits.
