Part-Time Nanny - Weekdays 3 PM to 7 PM

We are looking for a reliable, responsible and caring nanny to provide consistent weekday afternoon care for our children. The regular schedule will be Monday through Friday, approximately 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Responsibilities include:

• 3:15 PM school pick-up for our 4-year-old
• 4:45 PM daycare pick-up for our 2-year-old
• Bringing both children home safely
• Preparing and providing snacks
• Assisting with family dinner preparation and mealtime
• Playing and engaging with the children at home
• Diaper changes for our 2-year-old
• Assisting our 4-year-old with the washroom as needed
• Light housekeeping to help keep the home tidy
• As needed transportation for our 15-year-old to football or other activities within Oakville

Occasional morning assistance will also be required when I am travelling for work or additional coverage is needed, approximately 2–5 mornings per month. This may include helping the children get ready in the morning and completing school and daycare drop-offs. On these occasions, morning hours would typically be from approximately 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, with school beginning at 8:55 AM. A minimum of two weeks’ notice will be provided whenever morning assistance is required. We are looking for someone who is extremely reliable, responsible and comfortable independently managing multiple children and transportation. Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of previous childcare experience
• Valid Ontario G driver's licence
• Clean driving record
• Own reliable vehicle preferred (use of our vehicle can also be discussed)
• Valid automobile insurance if using your own vehicle
• Current First Aid/CPR certification
• Vulnerable Sector Check/background check
• Appropriate insurance to provide services as an independent contractor
• References required
• Previous childcare experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable caring for a toddler and young child
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Fluent in English
• Non-smoker/non-vaper

This is a contract position, five days per week, with consistent afternoon hours and occasional additional morning hours as needed. We are looking for someone who is flexible and able to accommodate occasional morning assistance with a minimum of two weeks’ notice. Reliability and punctuality are a must, particularly due to scheduled school and daycare pick-ups. Compensation is negotiable based on experience. Mileage will be reimbursed at the applicable CRA automobile allowance rate when a personal vehicle is used for work-related transportation.
