We have an immediate opening for a Regulated Pharmacy Technician to begin as soon as possible. This is an excellent month-to-month contract position with no anticipated end date, offering both stability and opportunities for professional growth.

Position Details & Benefits

Contract Title: Regulated Pharmacy Technician

Contract Dates: 4-week assignment starting ASAP with strong potential for extension.

System: Kroll

Schedule: Monday to Wednesday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 37.5 hours per week

Compensation: $33 to $35 per hour

Position Overview

We are looking for a Regulated Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team in Burlington, a thriving community recognized for its outstanding healthcare facilities and collaborative professional atmosphere. Our client, a leading specialty pharmacy in Burlington, is seeking a Regulated Pharmacy Technician for a 4-week contract. In this role, you will engage with and manage a distinctive category of pharmaceutical products not typically encountered in retail pharmacy, presenting a fantastic chance to broaden your knowledge and skills within the industry.

During a standard shift, you will be responsible for processing roughly 300 prescriptions daily and must have the capability to lift 50 lbs for stocking duties as needed. Key responsibilities include managing incoming prescriptions, compounding medications that need specialized preparation, dispensing medications, and performing re-packaging and labeling tasks. You will also assist the team with drug inventory management through effective stock control procedures, helping to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.

Extensive on-the-job training will be supplied to prepare you for handling these specific medications and successfully carrying out your pharmacy responsibilities, supporting your professional growth and confidence in the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols to guarantee high-quality patient care
• Deliver outstanding customer service by answering phone inquiries promptly and professionally
• Keep patient medical records precise and up-to-date
• Assess and prioritize incoming requests efficiently
• Conduct routine checks for medication expiration dates
• Facilitate clinical investigations
• Review all drug labeling, packaging, and promotional materials

Required Qualifications

• Must be actively licensed as a RPhT with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
• Proven experience and proficiency with the Kroll system
• Highly driven, approachable, well-informed, and with strong communication abilities
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Capable of collaborating effectively within a team
• Adaptable and available to work evening and weekend shifts when required
