ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Finance Accountant to join our Australia Finance team. Reporting to the  Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting , this role plays an important part in supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment, and supporting the organization's month-end, quarterly, and year-end reporting requirements.

The primary focus of the role is on preparing month-end financial reporting, reconciliation, audit, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to broaden their technical experience, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute to a high-performing finance team.

This position is based out of our Perth office with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule .

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Prepare month-end close requirements, including accruals, journals and reconciliations
• Prepare various monthly financial reports
• Manage corporate vendor accounts and Flexi-purchase credit card system
• Assist with preparation of the annual statutory accounts and quarterly reporting for the group
• Ensure financial data integrity and compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and SOX controls.
• Assist with financial analysis, audit requests and regulatory reporting requirements. 

ABOUT YOU

• CA/CPA qualified, or in the final stages of completing CA/CPA qualification
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to financial reporting , month-end close, reconciliations, and controls
• Experience with large ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
• Practical understanding of accounting standards and financial controls
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively work autonomously or collaboratively
