Lead Flight Safety for Launch Vehicles

Shape the future of aerospace as the Head of Flight Safety for a groundbreaking launch vehicle program in Canada. Drive safety strategy from development to launch operations in a rapidly evolving environment. This role demands a seasoned aerospace safety leader experienced in Flight Safety, regulatory compliance, and mission assurance. You will develop and execute comprehensive safety strategies that encompass hazard analysis, risk assessments, and system safety activities. Moreover, your expertise will be leveraged as the primary technical authority overseeing vehicle safety across various engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Flight Safety strategies for the launch vehicle program
- Create and oversee the complete vehicle safety case
- Lead key analysis and safety assessment activities
- Define Flight Termination System requirements with teams
- Mentor and develop the Flight Safety organization
- 10+ years in Flight Safety or related aerospace fields
- Experience with launch vehicles or missile systems
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Proven track record in leading engineering teams
- Ability to interact with multidisciplinary engineering teams
