Velan, a leader in severe service valve technology, seeks a proactive engineer with 5-10 years of experience to support nuclear applications. In this capacity, you will play a critical role in selecting and sizing valves. Collaboration with nuclear engineers and team members enhances your technical expertise, ensuring project specifications meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and clarify technical specifications for customers
- Select and price valves and actuators for projects
- Prepare quotations compliant with nuclear regulations
- Work with teams to validate engineering solutions
- Provide technical support for nuclear reactor systems
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (P.Eng in Ontario)
- 5-10 years’ engineering experience, especially in technical support
- Familiarity with nuclear standards, valves, and actuators
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- MS Office proficiency and ERP system knowledge
