A HIT Carpenter is a skilled and experienced professional with a strong understanding of residential construction from foundation to finishing. The ideal candidate is well-rounded and confident working across multiple aspects of home building, including framing, building envelope, a working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems as well as finishing experience. Our carpenters play a key role in maintaining job site quality, supporting trades, and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards.

Compensation Package:

• Wage $33-$37
• Full Time 40 hours/wk - Occasional Overtime
• Tues - Fri (Occasional Weekends)
• 2 Weeks Paid Vacation - 4%

The ideal candidate must be approachable, have great attention to detail, boundless energy, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and a passion for building quality homes. You will need to “put the customer experience first” while showing a “do whatever it takes” attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Building wooden structures using components such as 2X materials, plywood, Microlam and Parallam beams, trusses, I-joists etc.
• Installation of insulation, vapour barrier, drywall, doors, trim, cabinets, etc.
• Adding fittings and fixtures including door handles, hinges, locks, and closures
• Must be comfortable working with subcontractors
