Job Responsibility:
Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, specifically in baking and pastry preparation. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods that delight our customers. Your attention to detail and creativity will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts according to established recipes.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance presentation.
- Ensure all food safety and handling procedures are strictly followed to maintain hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute dessert menus for special events or seasonal offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all kitchen safety protocols.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff on pastry techniques and best practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices within the kitchen environment.
- Proven experience as a cook or pastry chef in a restaurant or bakery setting.
- Proficiency in various baking techniques and cake decorating skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong customer service orientation, ensuring that all products meet quality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
