Service Technician

Job Overview

We are presently seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our team in The Greater Vancouver area, British Columbia. This role involves servicing water treatment systems, primarily water filtration equipment located in grocery stores. The position requires travel for more than 40% of the time, and the successful candidate must be willing to travel by both air and vehicle to support the Company customers. The successful candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, change and maintain water treatment equipment (including water filter replacement, components and systems parts as required)
• Routinely clean and sanitize equipment, change UV bulbs and clear water lines
• Conduct quarterly and monthly maintenance visits, as well as emergency calls to maintain equipment in British Columbia
• Perform diagnostics and analysis to trouble-shoot and repair water treatment equipment
• Complete work orders and paperwork related to tasks in an accurate and timely manner
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Communicate in a positive manner with customers and co-workers and maintain positive public relations for the company
• Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Travel to various customer locations, including occasional overnight or air travel
• Other duties as required and assigned from time to time by the management

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restrictions
• Willing to travel over 40% of the time
• 3-5 years of related technical or installation experience with water treatment equipment will be considered a strong
• Plumbing experience preferred
• Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted Class G driver’s licence. Drivers Abstract will be conducted
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proactive rather than reactive with ability to problem solve
• The job may involve physical activities such as bending, squatting, walking while carrying heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 70 pounds
• Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
