Job Description

AWS/AI Solutions Architect

3Pillar warmly extends an invitation for you to join an elite team of visionaries. Beyond software development, we are dedicated to engineering solutions that challenge conventional norms. Envision you: steering projects that redefine urban living, establish new media channels for enterprise companies, or drive innovation in healthcare. Your invaluable expertise will serve as the cornerstone in shaping the future direction of our endeavors.

This role is the primary technical authority within a client engagement, hands‑on across the AI‑driven delivery lifecycle (AI‑DLC). The Architect owns high‑level design choices, dictates technical standards, and stays directly engaged in the codebase — designing and building the architecture that embeds AI agents across the SDLC, from requirements and code generation through testing, documentation, and release. The ideal candidate is as comfortable pairing with an AI agent on a pull request as they are presenting an architecture roadmap to a client executive.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI-Driven, Agentic Delivery
• Design and build the architecture that embeds AI agents across the SDLC — requirements gathering, code generation, testing, documentation, and release management.
• Set technical standards for where AI-assisted approaches are trustworthy versus where human‑in‑the‑loop oversight is required to protect quality, compliance, and client trust.
• Stay hands‑on in the codebase — reviewing, building, and validating AI‑driven approaches against real engineering constraints — and feed findings back into 3Pillar's delivery practices.
• Assess and plan the insertion of new AI/agentic tooling into existing technology stacks and client environments.
• Work interactively with clients during solutioning — shaping architecture, approach, and feasibility together, in a way that builds trust and naturally sells 3Pillar's value proposition rather than presenting a finished answer.
• Partner with the Solutioning team on pre‑SOW technical solutioning ahead of contract execution.
• Translate client requirements into a credible technical narrative and delivery approach, bringing a point of view on where AI‑driven delivery accelerates outcomes and where it introduces risk.
• Own and build the technical content of proposals, estimates, and SOWs, including effort, risk, and architecture tradeoffs.

Architecture & Technical Ownership

• Own and are accountable for the architecture — technical owner from design to resolution of tailored solutions on cloud platforms, based on client requirements and constraints.
• Partner with stakeholders to determine functional and nonfunctional requirements and business goals for a set of scenarios.
• Manage risk identification and mitigation strategies associated with the architecture.
• Influence and communicate long‑term product vision, technical vision, development strategy, and roadmap.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and architectural artifacts.
• Design architectures that align with the DevOps culture and QA Automation practices.
• Active leader in the Architecture Practice community, mentoring engineers through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or on project teams, with a focus on AI‑driven delivery skills.
• Develop and lead the execution of a technical vision within one or more business or technical domains, with a focus on business value.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience/expertise working as a Software Architect and/or Solutions Architect, with hands‑on proficiency in relevant cloud and AI/agentic delivery tooling.
• Demonstrated experience driving agentic SDLC product engineering — not just using AI tools, but architecting the integration and the human oversight model that keeps them productive and accountable.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS, and S3.
• Experience owning and building pre‑sales or pre‑SOW technical solutioning — shaping technical approach, scoping, and effort estimation before contracts are signed, working directly and interactively with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, confidence, critical thinking, and creativity — able to build a solution with a client in real time, not just deliver a finished design.
• High level of English proficiency required to interact with a globally‑based development team.
• Communicate in a clear and understandable manner with clients up to the executive level, and be able to articulate the details of the designed architecture using the appropriate level of technical language.
• Natural leader with critical reasoning and good decision‑making skills.
• Extremely good knowledge of SDLC processes and familiarity with actionable metrics and KPIs.
• Operational excellence in design methodologies and architectural patterns across multiple platforms.
• Ability to work on multiple parallel projects and utilize time management and multitasking skills.
• Experience leading Agile software development methodologies.
• High‑level design proficiency following UML / C4 / ArchiMate.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools.
• Demonstrate mentorship and thought leadership to engineers and decision‑makers throughout the organization.

Additional Experience Desired:

• Foundational knowledge in Data Analysis/Modelling/Architecture, ETL Dataflows, and a good understanding of highly scalable distributed and cloud‑native data stores.
• Experience designing SaaS or highly scalable distributed applications on the cloud.
• Financial management experience and ROI calculation.
• Solutions Architect certification on a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Benefits:

• Vacations. According to the law from your first anniversary
• Discretionary Time Off (employees are able to take time off when necessary)*
• 26 days of Christmas bonus
• 75% vacation bonus
• Major Medical Insurance
• Life Insurance (optional)
• Savings Box (optional)
• Law benefits: IMSS, Afore, Infonavit
• Home office
