Our EDMONTON WEST SERVICE SHOP has an exciting opportunity for SECOND LEVEL TRAILER MECHANIC to join our team

What You Will Do:

• Diagnose defects in heavy duty trucks and trailers and perform required mechanical services

• Diagnose defects in electrical and lighting systems, brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, and bearings

• Repair/Replace components for hydraulics, air systems, axles, trailer panels, suspensions, bumpers

• Perform CVIP inspections/Safety Inspections

• Perform incidental welding operations on steel and/or aluminum trailers

• Ensure documentation is complete and accurate

• Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

• Minimum 2nd level apprentice or trailer mechanic. All levels of mechanic are encouraged to apply

• High school diploma or other high school equivalency certificate, combined with previous experience as a mechanic or related role preferred

• CVIP Trailer license is preferred

• Must be able to meet the physical requirements for the role: Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, to reach with hands and arms, work at varying heights, climb stairs, and/or ladders in FGI facilities, Frequent sitting, standing, and walking inside the branch

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment

• Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal

• Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
