Catering Food and Beverage Manager

Sales

a. Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of catering options and services to the client in accordance with the agreement of the contract

b. Articulate deadlines and spends clearly and politely to all clients

c. Build and maintain relationships with guests, clients, and vendors

d. Prepare accurate and clear estimates and invoices

e. Sales quotes, developing menus and costing

f. Liaise with clients and suppliers to confirm event details

Administration

a. Attending events and working as site manager when required.

b. Working in tandem with the executive chef on updates and progress in development of the Catering department.

c. Build function orders within client budgets

d. Responsible for Alberta Health Services compliance within the catering services.

e. Manage monthly liquor and non-alcohol inventory

f. Work with chef on events, weekly/monthly specials

g. Costing of all items related to catering

h. Additional duties as assigned or required by the team

Site Responsibilities

a. Assigning events to site managers.

b. Attend as site manager and server when required.

c. Ensure site managers have all event details properly presented and explained

d. Ensure food, beverages and rentals required are prepared for site managers

e. Build rental list and prepare of assign to stewarding department

f. Complete set up of catering displays onsite at events.

g. Driving is part of the job. A successful candidate must have an Alberta class C driving license.

Team

a. Communicates the catering vision to all team members and leads by example.

b. Responsible for sourcing, scheduling, and training front of the house staff staff

c. Communicate Catering standards and staff etiquette for all Catering events

d. Conduct weekly logistic meetings

e. Work with other departments on logistic, design, sales.

1. Display confidence and be well versed in our offerings and operations, continuously working with the executive chef on updates and progress in development of the Catering department

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
