Nanny Wanted - September Start Family Seeking Experienced Mother’s Helper / Cook - Part Time, Long Term Position Starting At $25/Hour

**When reaching out, please make sure to send us a short note with specifics about why you feel you'd be a good fit for our family** We are a family looking for a caring, reliable, and experienced Mother’s Helper to help care for our toddler and dog, and to support our household with meal prep, light housekeeping, and running errands as needed. This is a part-time, live-out position ideal for someone who is warm, dependable, patient, a self-starter, able to follow instructions, and confident with infants, toddlers, and young children, and a dog. We both primarily work from home and will be present most of the day. We plan to be very involved and active as parents, and we are looking for someone who can support us in caring for our toddler while helping us enjoy quality family time together. We value open communication, lifelong learning, and a home environment that celebrates creativity, diversity, kindness, and play. Responsibilities include:

• Caring for our toddler (e.g. meal prep, feeding, cleaning and tidying up, laundry, organizing, keeping track of inventory, managing child items and keeping them in proper condition)
• Supporting family routines and following instructions carefully. Running errands as needed (Driver’s license, and clean driving record is advantageous).
• Meal preparation for the family
• Pet care for our dog (e.g. providing food and water and keeping bowls clean, walking dog, cleaning dog after walks, picking up after dog, and laundry for pet)
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry
• Occasional overnight care
• Comfortable using technology for communication and daily tracking
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy home environment

Role and duties will evolve as family grows Health and safety expectations: Due to health concerns in our family, we take additional mask-wearing and testing precautions when needed and appreciate support in maintaining a safe environment. We ask that our Mother’s Helper be willing to learn how to properly put on and wear a well-fitted KN95/N95 mask while indoors in our home. We are looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable wearing a KN95/N95 mask in our home. Takes health and safety seriously
• Is CPR certified
• Has up-to-date immunizations, including childhood/adulthood vaccines, annual flu shot, and COVID-19 vaccination
• Practices proper hand hygiene
• Is a non-smoker
• Does not come to work while ill

Requirements:

• Experience caring for newborn, infants, toddlers, and young children. Must be physically able to lift, carry, and put child to sleep safely and comfortably
• Annual CPR certification required
• Criminal Background Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Comfortable with dogs and pet care
• Reliable, patient, trustworthy, and caring
• Able to follow instructions and family routines
• Comfortable assisting with household tasks
• Comfortable using technology for communication and daily tracking
• Demonstrated commitment to personal reflection and ongoing professional development
• Availability for occasional overnight care
• This is a payroll position. No sponsorship

Schedule: Weekdays. Some overnights/weekends occasionally. Additionally other days may be offered, or extra hours offered if candidate performs well.
