Family Assistant (Nanny / House Manager) Part-Time | Immediate Start We are an active, busy family seeking a trusted, proactive Family Assistant to provide hands-on childcare and independently manage household needs. This is a true hybrid Nanny / House Manager role for someone who enjoys caring for children and keeping a household running smoothly — and who wants to act as a genuine extension of our family. About the Family

• 1 child, Age 5
• Active after-school schedule including organized activities and playdates. Since we only have one child, we plan to arrange standing weekly play dates on days without activities to support an enriching social environment for our daughter. Care will include our child as well as 1-2 friends of a similar age on playdate days.
• Looking for someone reliable, organized, and warm who can grow with our family
• If you are active and like to bike, scooter and play outdoors that is a bonus!

Schedule

• ~20-25 hrs per week: ~1:30-5:30 Monday to Friday.
• Additional hours typically available on PD days, school holidays, and some Fridays.
• Start date: As soon as possible

Role Overview

• When the children are home: childcare is the priority
• When the children are at school: household management and support take priority

This role requires independence, initiative, and a high level of trust. Childcare Responsibilities

• Daily school pickup and driving children to after-school activities
• Attentive care, supervision, and engaging play
• Supporting routines, consistency, age appropriate responsibilities and transitions
• Preparing and packing school lunches for the following day
• Dinner meal preparation
• Creating a safe, structured, positive, and nurturing environment

House Manager Responsibilities (to be fit in as possible alongside childcare)

• General house cleaning, tidying, and organizing
• Household and children’s laundry (wash, fold, put away)
• Meal prep and kitchen upkeep
• Running errands (groceries, household items, etc.)
• Proactively keeping the home stocked, organized, and running smoothly
• Anticipating needs and taking initiative without constant direction

Requirements

• Previous experience in a nanny, house manager, or family assistant role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
• Police clearance / criminal record check
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Comfortable driving children daily
• Highly reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively
• Warm, patient, trustworthy, and professional

Compensation

• $22-25 per hour, depending on experience
• Mileage reimbursed for child-related driving
