Looking for a patient and experienced occasional babysitter for my daughter, who is on the autism spectrum and non-verbal. This is an occasional position to start, with the possibility of increasing hours over time based on comfort and fit. The ideal candidate:
- Has experience working with children with autism and/or non-verbal communication
- Is calm, patient, and respectful of a child-led approach
- Is comfortable following specific routines and guidance from the parent
- Understands the importance of safety and gentle interaction
- Initial visits will be fully supervised as trust is built
- No physical handling unless necessary for safety or guided by the parent
- Strong communication and reliability are essential
