Portfolio Planner

The role we are offering:

The incumbent is responsible for monitoring the progress of the project portfolio, identifying and optimizing critical paths, and driving proactive actions with various key stakeholders to ensure the overall viability of the plan. As the primary planning point of contact, they contribute to optimal project execution from engineering through to final customer delivery.

The incumbent also leads initiatives that leverage planning best practices to enhance tools and processes, helping the organization achieve its objectives while meeting budgetary targets and delivery commitments.

Project Portfolio Management

• Maintain consolidated visibility of all projects within the assigned stream.
• Assess the feasibility of new requests and changes in prioritization.
• Recommend portfolio priorities based on customer commitments, financial objectives, and available capacity.

Integrated Planning

• Evaluate the impact of changes and risks on capacity, supply chain, engineering, and production.
• Synchronize requirements and dependencies across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and project management functions.
• Ensure adherence to Frozen Horizon requirements.

Risk Management

• Identify, consolidate, and monitor risks and constraints that may impact deliveries.
• Optimize critical paths to ensure alignment with production plans, cost targets, and schedules.
• Define and monitor mitigation plans.

Governance and Decision Support

• Lead weekly and monthly portfolio review meetings.
• Prepare performance metrics, scenarios, and risk analyses.
• Analyze and escalate issues impacting deliveries or capacity.
• Provide the analysis required to support management decision-making.

Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, procurement, planning, production, and project management teams to develop proactive, data-driven solutions.
• Act as a planning subject matter expert for tools, processes, and best practices.

The Candidate We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Strong problem-solving abilities: gather information, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions.
• Understanding of assembly sequences and critical path management.
• Asset: Experience with SQL reporting, VBA, Power Query (M), and Power BI.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
