TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a COST CONTROLLER for an opportunity to work in the Calgary area.

Job Description

Supporting the Senior Turnaround Controls Specialist in standardizing, implementing and executing enterprise turnaround cost management standards, such as assisting site turnaround teams across multiple sites with forecasting, accruals, cost reporting, and budget performance monitoring as required.

Collaborating with site turnaround managers, site controllers, schedulers, project managers, finance, and operations.

Assisting with quality assurance reviews of site cost reports and forecasting practices.

Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards supporting turnaround planning and execution and reporting solutions to reduce manual effort and improve reporting accuracy.

Assisting with maintaining centralized reporting datasets and data models.

Responding to requests for cost analysis and reporting from turnaround stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Project Controls, or related discipline.

7+ years of experience in cost control, project controls, supporting capital projects or turnarounds is preferred.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, SAP or similar ERP systems (Oracle) required.

Variance analysis and data visualization experience are required.

Primavera P6 experience is an asset.

Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modelling, dashboard development), SQL, Power Apps is an asset.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence through data and insights.

Ability to work collaboratively across multiple operating sites.

Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
