At Dillon, we are in the midst of a tech-driven evolution, and we are looking for a Manager, Digital Design & Delivery to fill an existing position, who will lead the development of our firm-wide digital design practices. This position can be based at any one of our North York, Downtown Toronto, Oakville, Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener, London, Chatham, Windsor, Kingston, Ottawa offices .
Reporting to the Director, Practice Operations , you will join a culture where innovation is encouraged and your leadership will directly impact the quality and efficiency of our national operations. You will work through a network of discipline leaders, digital champions, and subject matter experts across the firm, supported by Practice Operations and our IT team. We are looking for a professional who can set a clear direction for our digital future and ensure our teams are aligned and supported as we grow.
As a key leader in Dillon’s Practice Operations team, the Manager, Digital Design & Delivery is responsible for the ownership, evolution, and consistency of the firm’s digital design standards and governance framework. This role is essential to our digital maturity, ensuring that CADD, BIM, and related platforms are used effectively and consistently across all technical disciplines.
In this role, you aren't just managing tools; you are leading the transition toward a more consistent “Dillon Way” of digital project delivery. You will collaborate with practice leadership and technical teams to establish a sustainable support structure, manage strategic vendor partnerships, and ensure our digital workflows are scalable, efficient, and future-ready. Digital design deliverables must also be aligned with the needs of our diverse range of clients, and will be informed by our technical teams and through direct client engagement. You will have accountability for establishing and governing enterprise standards, ensuring adoption across practices, and providing clear direction on how digital tools and workflows are applied in project delivery, including clear decision-making authority on enterprise standards, tools, and delivery delivery approaches.

1. Enterprise Leadership & Alignment
- Establish and maintain a robust, firm-wide digital modeling framework, including CADD, BIM, and Data Standards, designed to move beyond basic output toward a data-driven delivery model.
- Ensuring that our digital workflows and deliverables are aligned with client needs and standards across a diverse range of Practices.
- Develop a comprehensive framework that promotes the adoption of enterprise templates and workflows to reduce regional silos and manual rework.
- Navigate organizational transitions by building consensus among technical leaders and demonstrating the value of standardized practices.
- Provide the oversight necessary to ensure that enterprise standards are integrated into project delivery and QA/QC processes nationwide.
- Establish mechanisms to drive adoption and ensure adherence to enterprise standards, including integration with project start-up and QA/QC processes.
2. Practice & Resource Integration
- Partner with practice leadership to identify and work through a network of practice, discipline, and team-based leaders and subject matter experts to ensure a clear path for standards adoption and technical feedback.
- Provide clear direction on roles and responsibilities within this network to support effective rollout, adoption, and ongoing support of digital standards.
- Work across the firm's organizational structure to ensure digital standards are effectively integrated into the day-to-day work of our design teams.
- Provide strategic oversight of the digital design resource pool, including the evaluation and management of external delivery partners to ensure flexible capacity.
- Oversee training and onboarding initiatives to ensure our technical staff are equipped to excel within our evolving digital ecosystem.
- Assess and determine when to leverage external delivery partners to support capacity needs or specialized capabilities, ensuring alignment with quality, efficiency, and business objectives.
3. Industry & Vendor Connectivity
- Serve as the primary lead for design software vendors and industry partners, working in coordination with IT on licensing, infrastructure, and system alignment.
- Stay actively connected to AEC industry trends to ensure Dillon’s delivery models remain competitive and future-ready.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and plugins based on their ability to drive productivity and enterprise-wide value.
4. Operational Excellence
- Coordinate with IT and Practice Leadership to manage software upgrades and testing to ensure a seamless experience for project teams.
- Analyze design-to-delivery processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Develop and execute a 12–24 month Digital Delivery Roadmap that supports the firm's long-term business plan and innovation goals. This roadmap will serve as the essential foundation for scaling design automation, generative design, and Digital Twin integration.
What You Bring to the Team
Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working across diverse teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to articulate a vision and build "buy-in" across all levels of the firm.
- A sharp eye for identifying inefficiencies and a passion for creating scalable, repeatable solutions.
- A strong working knowledge of the CADD/BIM landscape (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, GIS) sufficient to provide high-level direction and oversight.
- 10+ years of professional experience in technical design, engineering, or planning, with a deep understanding of the project delivery lifecycle.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role focused on digital delivery, standards governance, or technical practice operations.
- Experience working within a multi-discipline consulting firm, with an understanding of the challenges of standardizing practices across diverse teams.
- Experience balancing internal operational efficiencies with the delivery requirements and expectations of a diverse client base.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives and influence teams to adopt new ways of working in a complex, multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience managing relationships with major software vendors and/or external delivery partners.
Compensation
$95,000 - $145,000
Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region. Dillon reserves the right to pay outside of the posted range, contingent on factors unrelated to an applicant’s gender or other status protected by provincial and/or federal law.
