The Regina Early Years Family Resource Centre - Airport is newly formed and planning to open its doors in the New Year. The Early Years Family Resource Centre brings welcoming services to one location for ALL families in the community, especially families and children aged prenatal to five. Centres provide drop-in and group based opportunities that support the development of young children in the following areas:
- Early learning - Enhance child development with positive experiences and play.
- Parenting education - Build parenting skills to support early learning outcomes and provide responsive and nurturing environments at home.
- Family wellness - Work with partners to provide services to support the health and wellness of families.
- Information and referrals - Link families to supports to help them raise healthy children
Regina Catholic School Division invites applications for an Early Years Family Resource
Centre Program Designer . The Program Designer will design opportunities for all families to access services and resources to support young children's development. The position will support the ongoing growth and quality of services in the centre through greater intentionality.
The Program Designer will provide the capacity to strategically plan and implement integrated early childhood development strategies that address needs identified by early childhood indicators for the area served. The Program Designer will support the continued growth and development of the centre by guiding discussions and actions to respond to emerging issues, nurturing the centre's sustained relevance in the community and consistency with early childhood development research.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Will utilize the Early Years Family Resource Centre Strategic Plan as a foundational document.
2. Will work to identify, plan for and address emerging issues at the community level related to early childhood development. This individual will look at trends in data and create the necessary strategic programming in order to support caregivers.
3. Will have responsibility for developing and maintaining the centre's strategic short-, medium- and long-term plan which will articulate goals such as identifying priorities based on early childhood data, quality improvement, sequential early childhood development, inclusion and diversity, inclusion of caregiver and child voice and linkages with partners.
4. Identify approaches to gather knowledge and information about the needs and priorities of diverse caregivers in the community and integrate these intoEarly Years Family Resource Centre Planning and responses.
5. Will guide the work of the Early Years Family Resource Centres by utilizing their knowledge about early childhood development. This will include developing approaches to ensure programming simultaneously meets the needs of infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
6. Will develop approaches that support caregivers to be more knowledgeable about early childhood development.
7. Will examine staff development needs and create plans to develop skills to support the delivery of quality programs at the centre.8. Will work to support the knowledge of staff by collaborating, reflecting, sharing and leading the centre in promising practices.9. Participate at provincial tables on common work across centres, including actively creating common tools, approaches and curriculum that can be disseminated across Early Years Family Resource Centres to create greater similarity and consistency within centres and across the province.
10. Support solution-focused community development by building and strengthening relationships with partners to identify and act on common goals and priorities. This work will be aimed at enhancing and developing diverse programming in support of all children and caregivers.

Pay Scale - Current salary and benefits according to Provincial STF Collective and LINCAgreementsHow to Apply:
