Director of Capital Projects

Job Responsibility:

Summary:

The Capital Project Director leads and manages capital improvement projects from conception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. This role oversees planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities, infrastructure, or other physical assets. The Director serves as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies and ensures OLCN best interests are priority in all aspects of every project.

• OLCN Tendering Policy and Procurement

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (master's preferred).

· 10+ years of experience in capital project management, including 5+ in a leadership role.

· Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar infrastructure or building projects.

· Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).

· PMP, PE, AIA, or LEED certification is a plus.

· Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.

· Strong understanding of public contracting and procurement processes (if applicable).

· An understanding of First Nation's culture and practices
