Job Description

The position is accountable for managing the reception desk, supporting Sales & Events operations; exceeding guest expectations; and responsible for the functions as outlined below to assist in meeting the overall departmental goals.

Position reports to: Sales & Catering System & Administration Manager

• Have complete knowledge of the Hotel's events, services and facilities
• Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external guests
• Maintain an orderly working environment
• Answering phone call inquiries, greeting and assisting clients
• Managing courier mail and packages
• Creation of New Vendor forms
• Coordinating Client mailers /event invitations /guest lists
• Creating and updating Group Forecast spreadsheets through to completion
• Reception coverage schedule (bi-weekly)
• Ordering of internal stationary supplies
• Lead Coordinator for eRFP/Dart/various booking channels
• Gift Certificate process - create/courier/track
• Assist with Sales proposals and Event processes including Internal Banquet Event Orders
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma, Business School and/or Hotel School Diploma is preferred.
• Microsoft Word and Excel skills are required.
• Opera Sales and Events Management skills are an asset.
• Proven competency in area of organization and communication skills.
• Flexible, self-motivated, detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize and follow through.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Pleasant out-going personality and strong interpersonal skills are vital.

• The salary range for this position is $60,690 - $68,580.  Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience and/or work location
