Part-Time Family Assistant / Nanny (Monday–Friday, 7:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) Our family in southwest Calgary (Killarney neighbourhood) is looking for a warm, dependable, and highly organized Family Assistant/Nanny who genuinely loves cooking healthy, delicious meals and takes pride in creating a clean, organized, and well-run home. Our two children are both in school, so while mornings begin with helping get them ready and driving them to school, the majority of the day is focused on supporting our household through meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and organization. We are looking for someone who is proactive, takes initiative, and enjoys making life easier for a busy family. There are no animals in our house. Schedule Monday–Friday 7:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Morning Responsibilities (7:15–8:30 a.m.) Help prepare breakfast. Prepare nutritious school lunches and healthy snacks. Get the children ready for school. Ensure backpacks, water bottles, and activity gear are packed. Drive the children safely to school using your own reliable vehicle. While the Children Are at School (8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) Healthy Meal Preparation (A Key Part of This Role) We are looking for someone who truly loves to cook and finds joy in preparing healthy, flavourful meals from scratch. Responsibilities include: Planning and preparing nutritious family meals. Weekly meal prep for the family. Preparing healthy school lunches and after-school snacks. Washing and cutting fresh fruits and vegetables. Keeping the fridge, freezer, and pantry organized. Trying new healthy recipes and bringing fresh meal ideas to our family. Preparing balanced meals using whole, nutritious ingredients with plenty of protein, vegetables, and fresh foods. Household Management Complete household laundry, including clothing, towels, bed linens, and other household linens. Wash, fold, put away, and keep laundry up to date. Change and wash bed linens on a regular schedule. Organize closets, pantry, kitchen, mudroom, children’s bedrooms, toys, and sports equipment. Maintain lists for groceries and household errands. Maintain organized cupboards, fridge, and pantry. Household Cleaning We are looking for someone who enjoys maintaining a clean and welcoming home. We will not have a separate cleaning service, so this role includes routine household cleaning. A detailed weekly cleaning schedule and checklist will be provided to ensure responsibilities are clear and manageable. Cleaning duties include: Keeping the kitchen spotless after meal preparation. Loading and unloading the dishwasher. Wiping counters and appliances. Vacuuming and mopping floors. Cleaning bathrooms. Dusting. Emptying garbage and recycling. Tidying and maintaining common living areas. Following the household cleaning schedule to ensure the home stays consistently clean and organized. We’re Looking For Someone Who: Absolutely loves cooking healthy, delicious meals and meal prepping. Enjoys cleaning and takes pride in maintaining a beautiful home. Is naturally organized and enjoys creating systems. Takes initiative and notices what needs to be done without being asked. Is warm, kind, and engaging with children. Is dependable, trustworthy, and punctual. Has a valid driver’s licence, a clean driving record, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport the children to school. Mileage will be reimbursed. Takes pride in creating a calm, welcoming, and well-run home. Qualifications Previous nanny, family assistant, household management, or meal preparation experience. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Excellent references. Legally eligible to work in Canada. What We Offer Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
