As an Entry Level Network Engineer at Hiredbuddy, you will be an integral part of our IT infrastructure team, working remotely to support and enhance the network that powers our clients' operations. This is a hands‑on role designed for individuals who are passionate about networking and ready to apply foundational knowledge in a professional setting. You will receive guidance from experienced engineers while taking ownership of tasks that directly impact network reliability, security, and performance.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the design and deployment of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, and ensuring seamless connectivity across distributed offices and cloud environments. You will monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds or PRTG, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations. When issues arise, you will respond to tickets, perform root cause analysis, and resolve problems promptly, documenting solutions for future reference.

Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with system administrators, security teams, and project managers to support new initiatives, such as office migrations, cloud integrations, and security policy enforcement. You will also participate in regular team meetings to review network architecture and suggest improvements. As a remote employee, you will need to be self‑disciplined, communicate clearly through chat and video calls, and manage your time effectively across multiple priorities.

To succeed, you should have a solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. Familiarity with Cisco or Juniper devices is highly beneficial. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
