Expected Start Date: September 20, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Addictions Treatment Centre - Regina City/Town: Regina Department: Addiction Serv Res Care Unit&Trtmt Facil-Brief & Social Detox Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: January 31, 2028 FTE: 0.55 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends and Stats Number of Hours per Rotation: 7 shifts of 11.78 hours per 4 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Extended Shift Hours (11.78) Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Diploma $29.584 to $36.176 Travel Required: No Job : As a member of the Adult services team and under the general direction of the Manager, the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help for addiction and/or addiction related issues through the implementation of addiction recovery programs. Addiction best practices will be utilized to improve client outcomes. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Chemical Dependency diploma

- Knowledge in group dynamics
- Knowledge of community resources in the addictions field.
- Knowledge of therapeutic tools such as Motivational Interviewing and CBT.
- Accurately triage addiction(s), collectively develop a recovery and case plan.
- Knowledge in best practices in addictions and harm reduction strategies
- Ability to deliver workshops and lecture material to clients.
- Knowledge in holistic addictions treatment model
- Knowledge in addictions screening, assessment tools and procedures
