Finance and Insurance Assistant

We are currently looking to hire a qualified Finance & Insurance Assistant to our team at Shaw GMC.

Description:

The F&I Assistant will be responsible for performing clerical and administrative tasks to support the Finance & Insurance department. This role involves ensuring the accurate and timely submission of manufacturer program documents, maintaining records, and assisting with various behind-the-scenes tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Clerical Support: Perform general clerical duties including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records
• Program Submissions: Ensure all manufacturer program submissions are completed accurately and on time
• Documentation: Prepare and process finance and insurance documents, contracts, and agreements
• Compliance: Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Communication: Liaise with manufacturers, lenders, and internal departments to resolve any issues related to finance and insurance submissions
• Reporting: Assist in preparing reports and summaries for management review
• Customer Service: Provide support to Sales Managers and F&I Managers in handling customer inquiries and resolving issues

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous administrative experience, automotive industry an asset
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of finance and insurance processes in the automotive industry is a plus
