Part Time Administrative Clerk - Logistics & Transportation

Protrans Personnel Services Inc. is currently hiring an Administrative Clerk for a leading transportation and logistics operation in Cambridge, Ontario.
This position will initially be part-time, with the potential to transition into a full-time role within the next 1–2 months based on business needs and performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in administration, dispatch, logistics, transportation, customer service, or data entry.
Pay Rate
- $22.85 per hour
- Weekly pay
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Approximately 25 hours per week
- Potential to transition to full-time hours within the next 1–2 months
Location
Cambridge, ON
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain employee time and attendance records
- Schedule appointments and maintain on-time performance reports
- Prepare and update daily metrics reports
- Assist with OS&D (Over, Short and Damaged) shipments
- Conduct driver check-ins and check-outs
- Assist with dispatching and driver manifesting
- Enter pickup requests and shipment information into company systems
- Scan and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proofs of Delivery (PODs)
- Respond to phone calls and email inquiries
- Maintain accurate transportation and operational records
- Assist with shipment tracking and general administrative duties
Qualifications
- Previous experience in administration, dispatch, logistics, transportation, customer service, or data entry
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in transportation, trucking, freight, courier, or logistics
- Knowledge of BOLs, PODs, and OS&D processes
- Experience with shipping, receiving, dispatch, or transportation administration
