With a strong reputation for excellence and a commitment to efficiency, we are looking for an experienced Parts Manager to lead our parts department and play a vital role in our shop's daily operations.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee inventory management, supplier relations, and team coordination within our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automotive parts, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure our technicians have the parts they needwhen they need them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing of automotive parts.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing overstock and reducing shortages.
- Establish strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely availability of parts for scheduled repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, and inventory.
- Supervise and train parts department staff.
- Implement cost-control measures and drive departmental efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager or similar role in an automotive or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and aftermarket/OEM parts.
- Excellent inventory and supply chain management skills.
- Proficient in using inventory software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Mitchell1, etc.).
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
