Senior Strategic Financial Analyst Canada

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Strategic Financial Analyst to empower our Finance team across North America. You’ll tackle complex business questions with strong financial modeling and problem-solving skills while working remotely within EST/EDT hours. As a Lead Strategic Financial Analyst at Lightspeed, you will collaborate directly with the Director of Strategic Finance, VP Finance, and CFO. In this pivotal role, you'll connect business performance insights and strategic objectives, building financial models that inform decision-making. Your curiosity and sound judgment will help navigate ambiguity effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Structure complex, open-ended business questions
- Analyze key drivers of growth across various models
- Build comprehensive financial models from scratch
- Validate data using SQL and BI tools
- Enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency
- Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous settings
- Proven financial modeling experience
- Proficient in SQL or similar querying tools
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
- Experience in complex business environments with multiple revenue streams
