Position Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic Technician, you will play a critical role in maximizing equipment uptime and ensuring safe, efficient production.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Install, adjust, rebuild, and maintain production machinery.
• Perform equipment changeovers and mechanical adjustments to support production schedules.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
• Ensure all work is performed safely while following company policies and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.

Qualifications

• Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) or equivalent mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience within the printed packaging, printing, folding carton, labels, flexible packaging, corrugated, or converting industry is considered a strong asset.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and power transmission systems.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Comfortable troubleshooting high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize work and respond effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Comfortable working independently on the afternoon shift.
