Opportunity Overview
Insight Global is currently seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join a growing team supporting active construction and service projects across Eastern Ontario (Kingston, Belleville, Trenton, and surrounding areas).
This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring fire alarm systems are installed, programmed, and verified to CFAA and code compliance standards .
Key Responsibilities
- Support installation and verification of fire alarm systems on active construction sites
- Inspect and confirm proper wiring termination completed by electricians
- Conduct device inspections to ensure compliance with applicable fire codes & CFAA standards
- Perform programming of fire alarm systems
- Complete and sign off on Verification Inspection (VI) reports
- Assist with service-related troubleshooting and maintenance as needed
Must-Have Qualifications
- CFAA Certification (required)
- Proven experience with fire alarm system programming
- Strong understanding of:
- Fire alarm codes
- Verification and compliance processes
- Valid G Driver’s License
- 5–10 years of experience (flexible for strong candidates)
