The City of Iqaluit is looking for a Facilities Worker to join our team!

Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, the Facility Worker is responsible for establishing recreational programs through the operation and maintenance of the arena, curling rinks, ball fields, parks, and playgrounds.

Required Education and Experience:
Minimum Level of Education/Training:

• Grade 10 or Equivalent
• CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain

Minimum Level of Experience:

• Up to 1 year of experience performing Custodial Duties.

Additional Requirements:

Indigenous Language : Required

Security : A Criminal Record Check is required for the position

As per Article 23 of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, priority will be given to Nunavut Land Claim Beneficiaries who meet the criteria.

Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered .

La Ville d’Iqaluit est à la recherche d’une personne pour pourvoir un poste de préposé aux installations pour se joindre à son équipe.

Sous la responsabilité de la personne à la coordination des installations, le préposé aux installations est responsable de mettre en place des programmes de loisirs concernant l’exploitation et l’entretien de la patinoire, des pistes de curling, des terrains de sport, des parcs et des aires de jeux.

Formation et expérience requises :
Niveau minimum d’études/de formation :

• Avoir terminé leur dixième année ou l’équivalent
• Être titulaire d’une certification valide de RCR et de premiers soins ou capacité à obtenir

Niveau minimum d’expérience :

• Au moins un an d’expérience dans l’exercice d’entretien des installations
