The Department of Professional Practice (DPP) develops firm standards and guidance relating to financial and sustainability reporting, audit and assurance, securities, and engagement performance quality matters; provides technical guidance to engagement teams on engagement- specific issues; develops and disseminates specific guidance on emerging technical, professional and quality issues; and assists with firm and individual issues pertaining to compliance with regulatory and professional standards including supporting teams in the performance of quality engagements.

This is an opportunity for a two-year contract, which is a 50% role split between client work and DPP Audit Quality and Learning.

As a Senior Manager within DPP Audit Quality and Learning, you will be focused on learning initiatives designed to drive the consistent performance of high-quality audit and assurance engagements.

• Collaborate with others in DPP and across the National Audit & Assurance practice to identify the need for and develop training and support resources to address quality risks and findings.
• Provide feedback from the business to the Learning team and play a significant role in creating new approaches to deliver learning.
• Help evaluate the effectiveness of learning post-delivery.
• Be a lead facilitator for delivery of training courses virtually and in-person, as required.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advance integration of specialists in the audit, developing processes, tools, and training including delivery of training, where required.
• Develop and update training sessions and provide ideas on how to enhance Canadian learning content.
• Collaborate on other ad hoc audit quality learning projects as required.
• Foster a learning culture in the Audit & Assurance practice.

• To maintain connectivity with your sponsoring office, we encourage a commitment of approximately 200 hours per year to work on engagements in your region during your rotation, either as part of an engagement team or in an EEA Review role.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Audit & Assurance.
• CPA Designation or equivalent education.
• Experience with learning facilitation or learning development is considered an asset.
• Dedication and strong work effort.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities.
• Drive to achieve high standards of service and professionalism in the performance of duties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excels at delivering presentations to variety of audiences.
• Detail-oriented and able to wor k independently as well as in groups.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, self-starter and self-motivated.
• Must display good judgment, high integrity and strong ethics.
• Proficiency in English at a business level is required

KPMG Ontario Region pay range information

The expected base salary range for this position is $119,000 to $169,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $110,500 to $165,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
