Shop Technician

Strand360 is hiring a full-time Shop Technician in Lacombe, Alberta.

We are looking for someone with real production experience who enjoys hands-on work, follows details carefully, and takes pride in getting jobs finished properly. This role supports our signage, print production, bindery, and laser engraving work.

The work includes:

• Weeding, masking, and preparing cut vinyl graphics
• Applying print and cut vinyl to substrates such as coroplast, dibond, acrylic, and other materials
• Laminating prints and mounting graphics to rigid substrates
• Trimming, cutting, and finishing signage to final size
• Operating plotters, laminators, and basic finishing equipment
• Assisting with print finishing and bindery work, including cutting, folding, collating, padding, stapling, drilling, and packaging
• Operating and maintaining laser engraving equipment
• Preparing materials and staging jobs for production
• Completing quality checks before jobs move to installation or delivery
• Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Assisting with occasional local installations or deliveries as needed

The right person will have previous experience in a sign shop, print shop, engraving shop, or related production environment. Laser engraving experience is strongly preferred and will be given significant consideration.

Your resume should clearly show your experience with signage, print production, bindery, laser engraving, or closely related production work. This is a full-time, on-site position at Strand360 in Lacombe.
