Comet Welding is currently looking to enhance our team with the following position:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and computer-competent Inventory and Warehouse Specialist to join our fabrication shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking and putting away materials, managing inventory stock levels, receiving and picking materials from purchase orders and work orders. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and put away materials in the warehouse and yard.
- Manage inventory stock levels to ensure accurate and timely availability of materials.
- Receive materials from purchase orders and put materials away in the warehouse and yard.
- Pick materials for production based on work orders.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and locations
- Ensure the warehouse is organized and clean.
- Ensure the yard is organized and clean.
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management procedures.
- Operate Forklift, Overhead Cranes and Other equipment.
- Drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver materials including pulling a trailer to delivery and pick up location.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory management and warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer competency.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a valid Class 5 drivers licence.
- Knowledge on how to secure loads and be compliant for hi-way driving when hauling loads.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
