TWV is looking for a Program Development Manager who is responsible for aligning our programs with the community we serve.

Who we are: Two Wheel View (TWV) is a vehicle for change in the lives of young people, creating opportunities for young people to learn and practice lessons in leadership, self-esteem, community building, employment skills and more through their participation in bicycle education programs and experiences. We envision a resilient community that connects youth with the tools they need to reach their potential. TWV uses best practices in youth development to inform our curriculum and shape the way we form relationships with the youth, our partners and our community.

Where do you fit in? TWV is looking for a Program Development Manager who is responsible for aligning our programs with the community we serve. First, we do this by providing bicycle and bike mechanic-centric programs that elevate and develop important personal and professional skills for youth in Calgary; second, we partner with our community to identify and understand the needs of our stakeholders and demonstrate key outcomes.
You are the right candidate if you have a proven track-record of developing, or improving, youth programming and services in the not-for-profit sector. You understand how to work in a busy environment with tight budgets and tight timelines, while delivering an high quality, engaging programs and services. Previous employees in this position would say you are a leader who empowers and supports the team, provides feedback and development opportunities, and seeks to understand others. You also enjoy using metrics to benchmark success, and can see the big picture'. You are passionate about creating impact in the lives of youth.
What you'll focus on: Program Development
- Strategically develop curriculum for our programs that drive youth development and engagement
- Develop and implement goals and objectives for TWV programs that reflect the mission of the organization
- Establish clear objectives for all instructional activities that focus on experiential learning
- Reinforce the right metrics to measure success and drive community engagement
- Identify new opportunities to support youth in our community through conversation and relationship-building with key stakeholders
- Leadership and development of the program coordinators to:
- Gather the stories and experiences of program participants to better enable grants and fundraising
- Tie outcomes to program completion - following up with youth, tracking repeat engagement and participant employment statistics
- Enhance program curriculum
- Be strong people leaders
- Establish contracts, develop schedules and maintain communication with program partners and facilitators/leaders
- Loving bikes is a major asset!
Location: Calgary, Alberta Position type: Full Time, Salary, Primarily on-site with some work from home flexibility Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 plus health benefits, professional development $ and other cool perks.
