Spooling Supervisor
SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be required to weld pipe spools to various codes and specifications within a fast-paced, detail-oriented shop environment.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret company and customer-supplied drawings and specifications to ensure quality welds and alignment of work performed.
- SMAW / GMAW / MCAW / GTAW weld processes
- Read and interpret welding process specifications.
- Layout, Fit, and weld components of piping spools
- Weld within the parameters of weld procedures
- Work collaboratively with fitters and QC
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Rigging along with the use of overhead and jib cranes
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- B- Pressure Journeyman Welder certificate required
- 2+ years experience in spooling and/or vessel welding
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and safely in a fast-paced shop environment
- Be an active participant in the company’s safety program
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Successful completion of a pre-employment functional
- Successful completion of a Pre-employment drug and alcohol test
