Maintenance Lead

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as a Maintenance Lead (Day Shift) in Brantford.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity with an established food manufacturer. The Maintenance Lead will help coordinate daily maintenance activities, support the maintenance team, troubleshoot production equipment, and ensure repairs and preventative maintenance are completed safely and efficiently. This position offers a straight day shift, competitive hourly compensation, and four weeks of vacation.

• Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Lead and support maintenance employees during daily repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities with production, sanitation, engineering, and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment.
• Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime.
• Review work orders and recurring equipment failures to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety, GMP, HACCP, health and safety, and company standards.
• Mandatory Requirements: Valid Ontario Industrial Millwright 433A or Industrial Electrician 442A licence.
• Several years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience working with automated production equipment, conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Compensation: $46 per hour plus four weeks of vacation
