Live Out Caregiver - weekends

We are a private family looking for a dependable, experienced live-out caregiver to join our home care team for an elderly couple receiving hospice care at home. They have been stable for the past year, and we are seeking someone compassionate, reliable, and confident supporting seniors with complex needs. This opening is for weekend daytime coverage, and we are flexible on timing for the right person. The role is based just west of Milton, about 10 minutes outside town, so you must have your own car and a valid driver’s license, as there is no public transportation to our location. This Live-Out Caregiver - weekends position is available to start around 17.08.2026 and offers approximately 20–30 hours per week. Required availability is:

• Saturday: morning, middle of day, evening (8-8)
• Sunday: morning, middle of day, evening

Responsibilities will include:

• Personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming assistance
• Toileting assistance and incontinence care
• Mobility support, assisting with walking, positioning, and range of motion exercises
• Oxygen administration
• Medication reminders
• Meal planning and preparation
• Housekeeping, laundry, bathroom cleaning, tidying, and hand washing dishes

Experience working with seniors living with dementia, osteoporosis, arthritis, visual impairment, hearing impairment, and incontinence is highly valued. We would especially appreciate someone who:

• Is a good cook
• Is happy to clean and keep the home tidy
• Is a strong communicator with a clear, easily understood speaking voice and NO ACCENT
• Is loyal and interested in staying long term
• Is reliable and consistent with scheduled shifts, without last-minute cancellations
• Can give at least 2 weeks’ notice for any shift changes

Requirements:

• Valid certification and registration, with proof required
• Clean and current vulnerable sector police check
• Experience with elderly clients, including mobility support, medication reminders, and personal care
• Own vehicle and ability to drive to the home
• Legally elible to work in Ontario
• If an independent contractor we will require invoicing.
