Position: Route Coordinator
Salary: $19/hour
Position: Part time, ~15-20 hours a week

We are looking for a Route Coordinator to join our team. Please read the job description and requirements before applying.
Head Route Setter
What you’ll do:
- Implement and maintain a setting program for all routes and problems in the gym – ensuring grades distribution and route turnover is adequate for our customers
- Provide quality assurance of all setting in the gym – both quality, consistency and grading
- Assist in supervision, training, guidance and development for the route setting crew
- Engage with our staff and membership to solicit feedback and ensure our route setting meets the needs of the community
- Assist manager in ARC rock climbing competitions and provide support during other ARC events as needed
- Report to the ARC gym manager
Requirements:
- A passionate climber with substantial setting experience
- Able to set 5.12 routes and V5 grades
- Experience in a supervisory role would be an asset
- Fluency in computer skills (specifically; Google Drive, Google Sheets)
- Diplomatic and outgoing personality, capable of fostering relationships with facility users and staff
- Strong leadership, initiative and interpersonal communication skills
- A passion for climbing and for continued personal and professional development
