Senior Underground Mining Engineer

Lead underground mine design and planning for Teck’s AAEP at the Red Dog Mine, with approximately 15–20% travel from downtown Vancouver.As Senior Mining Engineer, you will support the Akitigiruq and Anarraaq Extension Project through its Pre-Feasibility Study and future stages. The role covers underground design, ventilation, production planning, waste management, cost estimation, and project development. You will collaborate with operational, technical, sustainability, and external affairs teams while integrating existing Red Dog operations.Key Responsibilities:
Lead underground mine design and integrated option assessmentsCreate Deswik mine plans, schedules, and first principles cost modelsManage consultants delivering underground project designs within timelines and budgetsSupport mine planning, resource governance, and technical reportingMentor engineers and advance mine life extension opportunitiesRequirements:
Mining, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering degreeSeven to ten years of related work experienceUnderground mine planning and operations experienceProfessional engineer registration or eligibilityActive experience using Deswik mine design softwareApply underground engineering, Deswik planning, and project leadership to advance Teck’s Red Dog Mine extension.
