Underground Mining Mechanical Engineer

Apply advanced mechanical design and review skills to underground mining infrastructure while working from home anywhere in Ontario.Cementation seeks a Specialist Mechanical Engineer to provide expert technical leadership on complex mine contracting and engineering projects. The work spans mechanical concepts, equipment selection, system layouts, technical reviews, procurement, and construction support. You will help solve difficult engineering problems, guide project teams, and integrate safety into each design.Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical calculations, equipment selection, and system layoutsConduct peer and technical reviews and stamp engineering workIdentify long-lead items and prepare procurement scopesSupport tender evaluations, vendor recommendations, and fabricationRespond to field enquiries and provide commissioning supportRequirements:
Canadian-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringProfessional Engineer registration with PEO or equivalent15+ years' experience in underground mining or heavy infrastructureExperience across feasibility, IFC, procurement, installation, and commissioningKnowledge of Autodesk, mechanical analysis software, MS Office, and MS ProjectUse mechanical calculations, technical reviews, procurement knowledge, and commissioning experience to support Cementation's underground mining projects.
