What You’ll Do

• Lead and Implement Peel’ s Well-Being Strategy Initiatives – Develop and manage programs that enhance psychological health, including approaches to cultivate psychologically safe leadership, psychological protection, work-life integration, and other mental well-being initiatives.
• Ensure Compliance & Best Practices – Monitor legislation, corporate policies, and industry best practices to ensure a psychologically safe workplace.
• Manage Key Projects – Oversee approaches to collect and communicate employee safety and wellness data to strategically guide and facilitate leadership participation in monitoring and addressing psychological hazards and risks.
• Drive Organizational Change – Work closely with stakeholders to embed psychological safety and well-being into our evolving workplace culture through training, policy development, and proactive leadership.
• Analyze & Improve – Conduct research, assess workplace health trends, and develop data-driven solutions to enhance employee well-being.
• Lead & Collaborate – Supervise a small support team while working closely with and gaining buy-in from internal and external partners to foster a culture of psychological well-being.

What You Bring

• Education & Experience – A post-secondary degree in a health-related discipline (occupational health & safety, psychology, public health, nursing) with 5+ years of progressive experience in workplace psychological safety and wellness. Combination of education and experience may be considered,
• Leadership & Collaboration – Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence both unionized and non-unionized workforces.
• Regulatory Knowledge – Strong understanding of employment laws, health & safety regulations, and psychological health standards in the workplace.
• Strategic Thinking – Expertise in program planning, evaluation, and policy development to drive meaningful change with relevance in diverse organizational context .
• Strong Communication Skills – Ability to engage diverse audiences, such as frontline and senior leadership, through effective corporate communication, facilitation, and relationship management.
• Project Management – Solid skills in managing multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Political Acumen – Experience navigating municipal and government structures is an asset.
• Technical Proficiency – Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
• Flexibility & Mobility – Access to reliable transportation for travel between sites as needed.

In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.

It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
