The Senior Development Officer is a proven fundraiser who is adept at carrying a personal portfolio of 100-130 prospects in order to generate philanthropic support between $1M-$2M per annum.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cultivating and soliciting current and prospective major gift donors through tailored stewardship programs
• Developing and implementing plans to support donor management and stewardship strategies and/or activities for the Rotman School of Management.
• Assessing needs and contributing to the development and implementation of plans for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition.
• Developing and implementing donor engagement plans that support strategic objectives.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years experience in progressively senior fundraising roles.
• Proven track record closing both individual and corporate gifts ($100,000 plus).
• Experience in managing a building volunteer cabinets in support of corporate gift campaigns.
• Experience in writing proposalsand creating other written materials to support fundraising activities.
• Demonstrated experience in an academic fundraising environment, preferably within a school of business.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office and databases.
• Demonstrated strategic, analytical and presentation skills within a major gift fundraising environment and the ability to interact with senior volunteers, donors and faculty members.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and research skills.
• Evidence of leadership and initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail and creativity.
• Professional personal presentation and demeanor; ability to quickly gain trust and credibility with potential donors, volunteers and faculty.

USW Pay Band 15 -- $101,242 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $129,471. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
