Shipping and Receiving Technician

PWM is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Technician who is responsible for receiving incoming materials, managing inventory, and preparing finished hydraulic cylinders and components for shipment. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and teamwork.  

Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming materials, components, and supplies.
Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
Report damaged or incorrect shipments.
Unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Properly label and store materials in designated locations.
Package and prepare hydraulic cylinders, parts, and assemblies for shipment.
Create shipping documentation, bills of lading, and courier labels.
Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers.
Ensure all shipments are accurate, properly packaged, and shipped on time.
Load outbound trucks safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
Knowledge of shipping documentation and freight coordination.
Familiarity with hydraulic components or industrial products.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
