Baby and Me Fitness Instructor YMCA

Transform lives as a Baby and Me Fitness Instructor at the YMCA of the National Capital Region. Lead engaging group classes that offer parents a welcoming environment to exercise with their babies. This role requires planning and delivering specialty fitness classes for new parents and caregivers. You will utilize your current fitness certification to instruct sessions that accommodate varied fitness levels, ensuring safety and inclusiveness. Manage interruptions, adapt exercises, and maintain group engagement for an exceptional experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct group fitness classes for parents and caregivers
• Adapt exercises for postnatal participants and their babies
• Manage class dynamics and interruptions effectively
• Ensure safety in shared spaces and equipment usage
• Recognize when to seek additional guidance if needed

• Current fitness instructor certification from YMCA or approved association
• Knowledge of postnatal exercise and adaptations
• Ability to work with varying participant fitness levels
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certification
• Valid Canadian work permit and recent police check
