CEO | Regulated Payments & Digital Assets (Vilnius)

About the Company

The client is a regulated FinTech connecting traditional euro payments with digital-asset settlement. Its infrastructure combines euro accounts, IBANs, SEPA payments, and MiCA-compliant stablecoin issuance for FinTechs, financial institutions, and international businesses. Backed by Series A investment, the company is moving from product development and early traction towards broader commercial adoption . Its senior team operates across Lithuania, the United Kingdom, and Asia.

About the Role

The company is looking for an action-oriented CEO with a strong operational or commercial background rather than a traditional compliance-only profile. You will own the Lithuanian regulated entity’s P&L, execution, team, product direction, partnerships, and growth . This is a hands-on mandate for someone who has already helped build a FinTech, payments, or crypto business from zero to one.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the company’s commercial, operational, financial, and product strategy ;

• Take ownership of the P&L, budgeting, resource allocation, and overall business performance ;

• Build the operating structure required to move from early traction to repeatable and sustainable growth;

• Originate and close strategic partnerships with banks, PSPs, issuers, exchanges, liquidity providers, and financial infrastructure companies;

• Turn IBAN, SEPA, payment account, and stablecoin capabilities into scalable revenue streams;

• Work directly with product and technology teams to prioritise development around customer demand and commercial potential;

• Maintain constructive relationships with the Bank of Lithuania and other relevant regulatory stakeholders;

• Ensure governance, safeguarding, AML, risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting remain effective as the business grows;

• Recruit, lead, and coordinate a small senior team operating across Lithuania, the United Kingdom, and Asia;

• Represent the company with clients, partners, regulators, investors, and the wider payments and digital-assets market.

Requirements

• A proven record of building and scaling a FinTech, payments, banking, or crypto business from early stage to established operations;

• Experience personally building at least one function, such as product, operations, finance, or commercial, from zero to one;

• Previous experience as a CEO, COO, Managing Director , founder , or comparable senior operator ;

• Hands-on responsibility for P&L management, hiring, operational execution, and strategic direction;

• Strong business development instincts and experience originating, negotiating, and closing institutional partnerships;

• Leadership experience within an EMI, PI, CASP, bank , or another regulated financial institution;

• The professional standing and judgement required to satisfy fit-and-proper scrutiny and obtain the necessary regulatory approval;

• The ability to make sound decisions under ambiguity, prioritise with limited resources, and remain close to day-to-day execution;

• Work locations - Vilnius / Lithuania.

Nice to Have

• Experience with stablecoins, digital assets, blockchain settlement, or MiCA ;

• An established network across banks, PSPs, issuers, exchanges, FinTech platforms, or liquidity providers;

• Experience negotiating banking, safeguarding, treasury, or liquidity arrangements;

• Previous responsibility for teams and commercial relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
