Job Responsibility:
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and clerical duties related to accounts payable.
Duties:
-Monitor mailbox and Payables inbox for incoming bills and statements- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording accounts payable data- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
-Maintain filing system for Payables department-Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors regarding payment inquiries
-Communicate internally with shipping departments to verify proper receipt of POs
-Collect receipts and clear credit card statements
Experience:
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role- Familiarity with accounting software
- Strong organizational skills- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
