Job Title: General Counsel

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Position Summary: The General Counsel serves as the organization’s senior legal advisor, leading all legal and compliance functions. This role is responsible for overseeing legal risk, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and providing strategic legal guidance to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Serve as primary legal advisor to the CEO, executive team and Board,
• Lead all legal matters and provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, strategic initiatives and corporate governance,
• Oversee contract negotiation, review and draft commercial agreements,
• Manage disputes, litigation strategy and external counsel relationships,
• Monitor compliance programs across various jurisdictions and respond to regulatory inquiries,
• Provide strategic input on various financial and commercial transactions,
• Oversee employment legal matters,
• Identify enterprise legal risks and implement mitigation strategies, and
• Oversee intellectual property protection.

Who We’re Looking For:

• LLB and member in good standing of a provincial bar
• 8-15 years of corporate legal experience (law firm and in-house preferred)
• Strong experience in corporate, commercial and regulatory law
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen

Source Energy Services is a company that focuses on the integrated production and distribution of frac sand, as well as the distribution of other bulk completion materials not produced by Source.
