Transportation Dock Supervisor Evening Shift

Take on a leadership role as a Transportation Dock Supervisor working evening shifts in Janes and Langstaff. Oversee efficient loading and operation of dock activities in a fast-paced environment. In this position, you will supervise 5+ associates, including forklift operators and shunters, and ensure smooth dock operations for overnight freight needs. Your responsibilities include loading trucks, managing trailers, and preparing paperwork for administration. Effective communication and strong leadership are crucial for this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of 5+ forklift operators
- Prepare purchase orders and necessary paperwork
- Load and unload trucks while managing freight staging
- Conduct weekly meetings and perform regular dock checks
- Process a high volume of emails daily for effective communication
- Supervisory experience of 3-5 years required
- Must possess a valid forklift license
- Strong leadership and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in MS Office programs, including Outlook and Excel
- Experience in high-volume LTL operations is essential
